speaking of theatre…

01 Sep

This from’s news page:

The Royal Shakespeare Company have announced their 2008 line-up, which features David Tennant in two roles.

From July 24th until November 15th 2008, Tennant will be starring in the title role in Hamlet, alongside Patrick Stewart playing Claudius. Dude.  Dude.  Dude.  DUDE!!

Behold: an excuse to fly to England next year.   Doctor Who and Capt. Picard, together, on-stage, in Hamlet.  Who wants to go with me?  WHO’S WITH ME?

Hamlet: (to audience)  What a piece of work is man, oh, HUMANS! They’re BRILLIANT!  This o’erhanging firmament, mind you, been there, done that, got the t-shirt.  Still ::sigh:: …. man delights not me.  Oh, now, wouldn’t worry!  Ooh! It’s King Clau-clau-Claudius!  How would you, my liege, like to spend the evening at the theatre?

Claudius (tugging on his shirt): Yes, well, young Hamlet. Make it so.

..I’ll stop there.
