Against Me!, a somewhat political punk band from Florida, has finally broken through to the big time after 10 years of Warped Tours. Their new album, New Wave was awesome enough for Ben Lee to cover the whole thing acoustically, and “Thrash Unreal” is on the radio like every two minutes now. The song is about a woman who’s probably done too many drugs, who’s past her prime but still holds on to her glory days in the 1980s. Whenever I hear it, I immediately think of the 2002 children’s movie Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron.

It’s actually not a bad video, surprisingly; the dynamics of the song work, if not the lyrics.
MidnyteFox has this to offer, using clips from two of the more recent Final Fantasy games. MidnyteFox is one of those vidders who feels the need to put a thirty second long personal tag at the beginning of his/her videos, so once you’ve sat through a half-minute of hot Harry/Ginny action, you’re ready for the good stuff. I like the editing here, and MidnyteFox has a very good sense of movement vs. song dynamics, even if the video itself is a bit fuzzy (a problem a lot of gamevids have, as the conversion blah blah iMovie blah blah different video codecs blah). It also features many pretty virtual people, as any good Final Fantasy vid should.
